What if all the bad was meant to serve a purpose? What if we get things taken away from us for a reason? What if the hardships we endure are for our greater good? What if…
“Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.”
Ecclesiastes 7:3 KJV
What if every step we have ever taken was already planned out? What if we were traveling on course. What does that mean for us? What does that say about the choices we make? What if it’s not exactly what we should do next, but to accept what comes next?
You may be overwhelmed by all these questions. But I say, what if? What if my failures were meant to happen? What if I was meant to be mistreated? What if I was meant to struggle financially? What if I was meant to lose that job? What if all the bad was meant to serve a purpose?
“For what glory is it, If, When ye be buffeted for your faults, Ye shall take it patiently? But if, When ye do well, and suffer for it, Ye take it patiently, This is acceptable with God.”
1 Peter 2:20 KJV
We were not brought here for an easy ride. There is bound to be heartaches and losses. There is going to be pain and suffering. Things aren’t going to seem fair. When we understand that there is a purpose for our pain, we can accept that it was all out of our control. When we accept the fact that God is our shelter, we release ourselves from the anguish of it all.
“There hath no temptation taken you But such as is common to man: But God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; But will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
1 Corinthians 10:13
God promises to never abandon us. All we have to do is pay attention to our surroundings. God will bring about signs. You may find a facebook post that triggers a thought. You may find a show that relays a message. Maybe you turn on the radio and there is a song that resonates. God will bring us people we need the most when we need them the most. People to guide and comfort us. People that tell us what we need to hear when we need to hear it. When we begin to pay attention we find our trust in our travels.
Faith is understanding that God is there through the good and the bad. There is no need to fear. There is no need to stress because we know that all things were meant to be for something better. We can release our pain, and embrace love where everything just seems to fall into place.
