Silently aware, we journey without sight, without vision. We make choices based on emotion. But what is emotion exactly, but a frantic swim to the surface. When we feel uncomfortable, our emotions grab a hold of our psyche and pull us to safety. I have heard many times on my journey to follow my heart, this statement could be defined in many different ways. But what if there was something that we are missing? What if there is such a thing as truth?
“But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.”
Romans 7:23
The truth is, loneliness is extremely uncomfortable. Nothing can be compared to being safely held by another. When God made Adam, it didn’t take long for God to see that Adam’s environment wasn’t enough to make all things good. So God took Adam’s rib to create Eve, so to unite two souls into one. God could have easily gave life to Eve without Adam’s rib, but God instead gave us completion in the union. That we would provide for each other the love that God intended.
“And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”
Genesis 2:23-24
There will be many prospects on your journey! Some would move mountains for you, others might just bury you in the mountain! You could have everything you ever needed standing right in front of you, still not being enough to create a forever union. We will go about our journey finding, as they say, our lessons and our blessings. But what are these lessons that we have to learn when it comes to the union?
“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren.”
James 1:14-16
Your Adam or Eve surpasses all understanding, it’s deeper than the visual. God’s love has a knowing, and being that is simply effortless. It’s knowing one another so much so that the heart is a flame that burns through one another. It’s open, it’s free, it’s intuitive, it’s magical. Love doesn’t hurt, love doesn’t have fear. Love isn’t hard. When we ignore the loneliness that holds us in captivity but remain open to receive by listening and learning the prospects, seeking a soul connection rather than instant gratification, we will fully understand why God asks us to be patient.
“But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.”
2 Thessalonians 3:3-5
We need loneliness to see into ourselves and to amend our wrongs. Take heed in the fact that if you are being left alone, you are gaining a growing pain. Save your future failures, disappointments, and sufferings, by digging deeper into the person you spend your time with. The truth is a union gifted from God is all things good, and our lesson is to have the patience to receive our blessing.
“Patience is the preparation to receive.”
