Universal Oneness: OurDayDream Daily Column

Hello everyone! I hope that you had an awesome day today! My day was much lighter than yesterday I must say! I still struggled with doubt a bit today, but I was able to get a handle on it rather quickly. If only our brain could just stay in a place of submission, but it doesn’t!

Yesterday I spoke of my morning readings, check reference 1 for the books! I also spoke about how I look for a thought that stands out the most after reading them, this morning the message seemed to be relaying oneness.

The thought that stood out was that we can try to separate from the world but it is impossible to do so! I am by no means saying that I want to separate from the world, but it is a profound concept because what my relationship is with the world determines many of my steps. This makes me think of an interview I did with actor Daniel Johnson where he said something that touched me; he said you never know if the person you ignore on the elevator is someone that could have helped you advance in your career! I have been much more aware of how I act in public since that faithful interview. Does my body language say leave me alone, or does it say I want to know you more? Truly you will see strangers spark up some very interesting topics unexpectedly when your mind and body are both in agreement with love for your neighbor. So, then I thought of two scriptures!

Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Matthew 22:36‭-‬40 KJV

Great peace have they which love thy law: And nothing shall offend them. LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, And done thy commandments.

Psalm 119:165‭-‬166 KJV

There is something magical that happens when you believe in human connection! Today I received a song from Devin Williams, he thought that I might enjoy it since I like delving into lyrics. He said that he wrote it about human trafficking and trauma victims. Wow!!! It was like God whispered in his ear, she needs that song! Might I add that he has been writing songs for over 20 years and has a lot of music out and for him to send that particular one to me was incredible! But what was even more incredible was what happened when I listen to the song! You see the title of the song is Sunshine, and the sun came out from the clouds into my window to shine on my face just as he sang the lyrics “Let the sunshine on your face, no one could ever take your place in this world.” Human connection! No matter how far away, a stranger connected!

Before I say good night, I have a revelation I have to share! This morning I read a quote from Sarah Ban Breathnach’s book Simple Abundance A Daybook of Comfort and Joy!

“Bless a thing and it will bless you. Curse it and it will curse you. . . . If you bless a situation, it has no power to hurt you, and even if it is troublesome for a time, it will gradually fade out, if you sincerely bless it.”

I must say I am quick to ask why! As a Christian, I firmly understand, believe, and try to remember to bless those that offend me. Although when it comes to circumstance I am quick to ask why without ever thinking to bless it! I am infinitely grateful for this revelation today! I know blessing those that wish to harm me does eventually work and soften their heart. I am excited to see the changes that occur as I start blessing circumstances! I mean Sarah told us that it changed her life, and I wouldn’t question that for a moment! Blessings my friends! 💜
