OurDayDream Daily Column (ref.5)

Reference #5

Hello everyone! Welcome to my daily column! I hope that your day was full of wonder! My day was pretty fantastic!

Every morning I read my daily readings, check reference 1 if you are interested in what books! I like to look for a thought that stands out, today the morning message seemed to be relaying Mindfulness.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Romans 7:22‭-‬25 KJV
Joshua Whitehead from 4 All Generations, Austin and Leb Comedians, Mickey Bell Comedian, Zahna, Nate Middleton from Saved by Scarlet, Devin Williams, and Rusty Drake Music.

How often do we partake in this war, or just submit to sin? Today seemed to be reminding us to stay present. God granted us this moment, with this breath, he gave it to us for a purpose. While we seek his vision for our lives and his loving purpose in this moment, we begin to have more gratitude and less judgment. We find that the war turns into peace. The incessant chatter begins to soften. We begin to trust in him more because we are focused on him, rather than allowing our mind permission to intensify doubt. Oh but Mary knew!

And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Luke 1:38 KJV

If only I could see myself in God’s eyes. It would change my circumstances, my actions, and my movements. It would change everything just by walking in God’s vision. As Paul said, oh wretched man that I am; I walk according to the way the world programmed me. I still walk enslaved to my past. Of course, I would see hardships because I see myself as someone who endures. I could only imagine what my world would look like if I walked into my true identity under God. If I truly saw myself deserving of everything I am to God, oh how my world would shift! I searched quite a few times in the past year and a half for a certain song, God saw it fit for me to find it today! I hope you enjoy it as it shifts your heart too!

This song really pushed me to take a deep look at salvation. From the old testament to the new, God was trying to show us salvation. How many of us have permitted ourselves to receive the identity that God envisioned when he planted us in our mother’s womb? How many of us are still trying to find salvation? I feel like many of us including myself seem to be searching for something that God has made readily available to us. We as humans overcomplicate divinity. We just have to rip the veil and come into the holy of holies, we just have to know that Christ is enough, we just have to step into a future with no past. With a white gown, no more dirt, no more mess, no more captivity, because Jesus made the way. We need to stop keeping score.

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Matthew 27:50‭-‬53 KJV

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

Today I had a podcast interview with Rusty & David from the band Rusty Drake and the Watchmen. This was probably one of my top favorite chats! It was so much fun talking about some of my favorite subjects including redemption, the Bible, and God showing up when you are doing his will! It gave me a ton of hope! This podcast is set to publish February 27th!

Today’s word was telling us to die to the past, have hope in the future, and appreciate now! I wish you guys a wonderful weekend! I will be back on Monday. Many blessings to you all!
