Hello everyone! Welcome to my daily column! I hope that you had an awesome weekend! I am still dealing with this refining season. It is rather painful when you are unsure of who you are and which way you are going. I have been reading a book by T.D. Jakes “Crushing” where he spoke about the seed parable.
And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; and when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: and when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: but other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Matthew 13:3-10 KJV

The funny thing is that I have many ministries that I have done where I try to speak life into those that go through this crushing. I have been through it once before, it was what brought forth a rebirth. Silly me, I thought I only had to do that once! I guess not. It makes me think about this TikTok I put out from a conversation I had a year and a half ago, might I say it has been a hell of a process! If only we could just die and come back to life. But as T.D. Jakes said in his book “Crushing” it takes time for the great craftsman to cultivate a work of art in his design. Here is the TikTok.

When the body dies it is planted firmly in the ground to sprout up brand new. It’s so difficult, you can’t see what is up around the corner. I put a post out today on Facebook.

It took the Israelites 40 years until they got to the mana. I am just hoping and praying that I at least get some clarity. Here is the book by T.D. Jakes!

Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:2-9 KJV

Today I posted the podcast with Devin Williams! It was an awesome opportunity to have him on the show, and to be introduced to his awesome music!

I also had the amazing opportunity to interview Julia Schmidt! We spoke about reaching the promised land after your seed is planted firmly in the ground! The podcast gave me great encouragement! Before I say good night I want to share with you 3 awesome quotes I gathered from this morning’s readings that aligned beautifully.
“When you truly forget yourself, a very different scenario is revealed in front of your nose.”
Taizan Maezumi Roshi
“We can begin where Spirit did by declaring that there be Light to illuminate our journey of self-discovery.”
Sarah Ban Breathnach
“The essence of Quaker spirituality is the certainty that everything we do has religious significance.”
George Gorman
Maybe instead of fighting so hard to keep ourselves together, maybe what we really need to do is forget ourselves to gather new. I wish you all a beautiful day tomorrow! It’s hard to see sometimes, but we are so loved by the same one that designed all the beauty that exists in the world. Blessings to you my friends!
