Hello everyone! Welcome to my daily column! I hope that you had an awesome day! My day was interesting! I overslept causing my son to miss the school bus. The problem would have been minor if I had a car. Might I say that I was incredibly responsible trying to fix it, 4 garages and over $2000 spent since November I am still nowhere close to it being fixed. There was a moment Satan whispered lies, condemnation of who I was as a person and a mom. Oh, but then, I rebuked it in the mighty name of Jesus, and it disappeared the rest of the day! Thank God! I find this important to relay because I later saw it as a blessing that my son stayed home. To be continued. . .

Each morning my partner and I are doing a Bible study and prayer, which I am excited to share with you! Today we read Romans chapter three. It was a reminder that we can’t earn love from God, we have to receive it. There is no amount of good doing that will get us any closer to the father. We also can’t lose it! If we say Abba Father, he is there whether we want to see him or not. As Paul was a murderer of Christians, he simply had to look up to become our great minister. God will place you right where he needs you. Stop trying to earn your way, receive God’s way.

even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Romans 3:22‭-‬24

Every morning I read my daily readings, check reference 1 if you are interested in what they are. Today the morning message seemed to be speaking about DAILY DESIGN.

How do you design your day? God began teaching me discipline in 2020. He began teaching me that I need daily discipline to bring forth his plan for my life. When I have days like today where it is thrown for a loop, it is very difficult for me to have patience. Although, this morning the noise started in my head and thankfully God intervened in my prayer and gave me gratitude in the chaos. Although if I wasn’t in control, if I worked at a job where I couldn’t control those words that were given to me, I probably wouldn’t have had a chance. Now, I am not talking about responsibilities, I mean to be honest with you, I am still a work in progress in that area. I am talking about my spiritual and mental stability. Let me share a post I wrote a while back on my Facebook Business Page!

Yesterday a few of us spoke on how imperative it is to be mindful of your spiritual health. To have a disciplined practice that gives you a strong foundation to start your day! I just recently cracked down on being more disciplined in my foundation, though I have been training myself to be more disciplined for years. I have so much I can build on knowing my body is a temple that needs to be cared for, foundations are imperative. Do you have a foundation? What is your foundation? What are you building your day from? If you don’t have a structure, you will find yourself tossed around like the wind. You may want to think about how much a foundation will help to structure a strong day.

My Morning Routine:

  • First thing, I tell God how much I love him.
Reminding me that I am not alone.
  • Read a page out of a woman’s daily devotional.
    Inspired by God.
  • Listen to a morning meditation that helps me feel like my dreams are coming true/ speaking with God in spirit. So that when life or people beat me down, I remember this is all temporary on my journey to where I am heading.
  • Listen to positive affirmations because I spent so much time in my life being beat down by myself and people, I have to retrain my thought process so I may walk with confidence and worthiness to move into my destiny.

If I skip my routine I can feel it, inside and outside. Because how I feel inside penetrates those outside and they reflect that back to me. I am easily startled. I am moved by my environments. I wait to long to look up when I get to scared to look down, so I move into fear. I end up with yet another death and rebirth.

Ultimately how you feel inside will dictate over your productivity and your sense of accomplishment. Please share your foundation if you have one! God bless! I love you guys!

This is a great reminder because I haven’t been doing the positive affirmations, and I have been slacking on the meditation. These habits help so much with reducing the banter in my mind! Those that follow this column may have caught on, I have been struggling a lot with that banter! Also, I picked up a new habit from a friend of mine! Months ago, I interviewed Jim Shorkey Jr. on The OurDayDream Show and he spoke about how each morning he tells everyone Happy Birthday in his Facebook friends list. He said it made him feel good to begin each day giving good tidings. February 7th was my birthday and I thought about how good it felt to receive the time people took to wish me a Happy Birthday, I thought that I owed them the same care. I wasn’t really thinking it would change my day, but it does, it makes me feel good! Here is the chat with James Shorkey Jr.

P.s. James had a stroke right after Christmas, he needs all the prayers he can get! Now I ask, how much time do you invest in yourself throughout the day? Life is not infinite, you have a limited amount of time, are you invested in your peace, happiness, and prosperity? Or are you just doing what you need to do and what you have to do? Are you doing for everyone else and neglecting yourself? I can say from experience that you are depriving your loved ones by depriving yourself. Imagine if you invested in yourself and felt your best self, how much more you could show up for others.

“Truth is discovered when you simply refuse to lie to yourself anymore.”

Scott Morrison

You may see a long list of things to do and say how can I possibly have time for myself? There are 24 hours in the day. It takes me an hour tops to prepare my day in the morning. Waking up an hour earlier is time well invested in more patience, appreciation, growth, confidence, etc. Each day I can think of multiple reasons to be grateful for my routine. I think about trying new food. Before you tried it that particular meal, you didn’t even think about it, but just one taste made you grateful you decided to try it. That is until you started craving it at inconvenient times. I am not telling you to pick up my routine. I am also not telling you to commit to an hour’s worth. What I am saying is, if there is something that you are thinking about when I say pick one thing to commit to on this day, try it out, but don’t just do it and forget that you did it throughout the rest of your day. Try it and then notice how your day was different than the rest.

Today I interviewed David Bean from Red Letter Rising! I want to continue with my intro, the interview lasted much longer than I expected. If I would have sent my son to school, there is a good chance I would have missed getting him off the bus. I was thankful we missed the bus this morning! Also, this taught me to always expect interviews to last longer, so I don’t run into this problem again. I was grateful God intervened. Back to David! Red Letter Rising is a fairly new band but I need to tell you that his calling deserves praise. His testimony shares a man that struggled with his identity in God and substance abuse. Today he writes music to reach out to those that struggle! You have to check out this music video!

How can you design your day to appreciate the limited life you have? I wish you all a beautiful day tomorrow! You are deserving of the same care you give away! Much love! Blessings to you 🙏.
