Has God finally delivered you out of captivity? Yesterday, God took me to Joshua 4 which helped me to understand that I am free indeed. Not just to merely say it, but to internalize it. Deuteronomy 16 was telling us that with freedom comes responsibility. God was saying it is not enough to just say thank you and continue on doing things the same.
It is a time to show God how grateful I am by the way that I conduct myself! This chapter shows us how we can show our appreciation and plant our feet in a forward motion. God was relaying to the Israelites what they should do now since delivered out of Egypt.
They say it takes 30 days to form a new habit, the Bible seems to be saying here it takes 7 weeks of dedication!
Have you ever met that person that just lights up the room! They are gentle, kind, they feed your spirit with their words. They not only shine on the inside, but on the outside too. Some assume that is because they had an easy life, I assume that God knows what he is doing! We need people like that in the world, a blueprint for our future. Who wouldn’t want to be that person? Depression and fear isn’t a place I enjoy, it is dark and damp. I don’t know about you, but I want to be a light!

(10) And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: (11) and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there. (12) And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.
Thank you, Lord, for salvation, sanctification, and your wisdom that shows us how to maneuver this life!
Blessings my friends!
