I can be so strong in faith, yet doubt still seeps in. In Job 38 the Lord was straightforward with Job, explaining who he is.
When all we have seen before is a struggle, we find prosperity hard to believe? I see numbers, statistics, and a past that lacked perfection. Could God really want a perfect life for me? Could God really desire to gift me with an abundance of my heart’s desire? This chapter speaks about how ignorant we are having these types of questions, let me explain.

I am not saying we should condemn ourselves for being human and questioning God’s authority, I mean even Jesus questioned. What I am saying is, when we understand how great we are only because of his strength, we will be willing to decrease so that he can increase.
The Lord was showing Job that he doesn’t have enough information to come up with an accurate hypothesis. Here are some things that he told Job! Just as Job was instructed to answer these questions, God is asking you to do the same.

(4) Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding.
(5) Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it?
(6) Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof;
(12) Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; And caused the dayspring to know his place;
(24) By what way is the light parted, Which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
(25) Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, Or a way for the lightning of thunder;
(31) Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, Or loose the bands of Orion?
(33) Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? Canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
(36) Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who hath given understanding to the heart?
WHO AM I TO QUESTION THE THINGS THAT HAPPEN UNDER THE SUN?
Blessings my friends!
